Sitrekin is the solo project of Kirstine Stubbe Teglbjærg, founding member and former lead singer and songwriter of Blue Foundation.
She is the voice behind the multimillion-streamed ‘Eyes on Fire’, which has achieved cult status worldwide.
As a self-producing artist, she has created her own unique sound: atmospheric, electronic indie with a touch of melancholic pop, strong melodies and great sonic details.
'Sitrekin' is an anagram of ‘Kirstine’. It is made out of the Danish word ‘sitre’, meaning ‘tremble’ or ‘quiver’, which can represent the vibration of music and sound. And of the English word ‘kin’ - meaning ‘blood relative’, ‘clan’, ‘family’.
